I don't know you but I'd guess the Psych test...
You're probably too normal to work in DOC... or they figured you're too much of a free thinker.

Well, I've picked myself up, dusted myself off and will try again. Just felt close this time. Hopefully the letter I get will let me know which part I failed and I'll move on from there. I'm contemplating going back to school for a bit as well.

Sheesh, I have to wait a whole year before I can reapply apparently. Does anyone know if this is for all of DOC, or just the particular facility?

WWWHHHHAAAAATTT???? I can't believe that. I've talked to you on both forums for a while now and I can't believe you didn't pass. I don't know what the deal is, did you find out what you failed? If it was psych can you appeal? The psych is a whole truck load of BS! You should be able to find out, maybe through public disclosure or Freedom of Information Act. I think Stafford Creek is a little more finicky than those of us doing big hires, but still.

I think, and think is the key word here, that you could reapply at another facility. Each one is almost completely separate in the hiring process.

Well, apparently each facility is different. So I applied to Shelton back in May. I just called them today to get any kind of status and they said I never showed up on their radar....and they finished interviews last week. So they are signing me up again but won't be interviewing again until around December.

At this point I've given up on being picky. I don't like the weather in E. Washington but I really don't like working where I do so I'm going to apply at most of the facilities tonight, WallaWalla, Monroe, Coyote Ridge, etc.
