I remember when everybody thought sex offenders had a hard time in prison but the opposite is true, the C.O.'s protect them. If another convict even says a cross word to a child rapist he gets cuffed up and sent to IMU. Do people really wonder why they reoffend when they get out? They should be beaten, stabbed, have all their belongings taken on a daily basis, then maybe they would think twice the next time they get the urge to **** a kid.

We just released a bunch of North guys from IMU and SEG yesterday. While they were in, we chained in 10 or so South guys along with the alleged #2 North guy. Are we being set up for failure, or is it just me? Why do the powers at be think that Washingotn will be the only state in the country where N and S guys get along. Does anyone think that they each need their own facility?

The North and South thing is going to cause a huge lawsuit in this state. What happens is we get 1 Northerner on the chain, then he immediately goes out to chow, then a fight occurs, then he goes to seg, then he ships out to somewhere on the west side. Repeat weekly, thats our life. Some day a staff member is going to get hurt responding to the fight and then are going to sue the state for negligence.

Off topic but we actually had an officer get in trouble for calling a child rapist a sex offender to his face . He would have probably been canned had the state not already labled them as sex offenders.
I think the only N/S fix is to give them their own facility. How do you deal with the "onsight" mentality. Everyone else gets along until there's been disrespect. We have separate mainlines/movements/pill-lines/etc. But s@*# always seems to happen. They are so afraid of drama here that when I&I says there's going to be a big fight during rec, they'll close the yard because they know an inmate will get shot. Instead, they will fill the gym up to the top and post extra staff so they get hurt. These guys will even fight in the VR. For normal convicts, the VR is off limits to BS. With all that in mind, they still try to have N and S mix and co-exist. Luckily for all involved, niether side is well organized.

The biggest problem we have is 1. The Surenos think they own WSP because our address is 1313 13th St (no kidding) so there isn't even a glimmer of co-existence and 2. They only bring 1 or 2 Nortenos in at a time, which gives them no chance. My idea, and it goes over like a fart in church, is to trade 40 of our white boys to Pelican Bay CA for 40 of their real no kidding Nortenos and see how that goes over. Wishful thinking I know.

We don't really have a problem with chomos on the mainline because they are usually segregated to the PC/Ding unit right away.

I read one of your posts from a while ago about the South guys buddy-ing up with the blacks. I have noticed the same thing. Also with the BGD's, but we've shipped most of them out...I think to you guys. Our North guys are teaming up with the Natives, although not for STG stuff, just for mainline and yard. We had a three or four day lockdown over X-mas cause of their BS. About two weeks ago, we locked up 17 N's for "STG investigation" after a fight. Seems like everyday at muster, it's North and South this and North and South that(I don't care to learn how to spell them, speel chek fixes it for me on my incident and infraction reports). The funny thing is, there is no issue at our other four facilities. I've seen them play handleball together at our MI3 and Med facilities.

RoBeans, the above post was for you, I should have included that. 1313 13th St. That is awsome. When we were tossing every STG cell over X-mas, We put our #1 N. in cell 13 in our 3A overflow(not on purpose). When we came to get him and put him back, the 13 had been crossed out with a marker. And yes, he was strip searched prior to entering/exiting the cell. Good times.
