I am moving out to the lake so I will be without Internet until Tues. I do have my blackberry but any major issues with the site will have to wait till then.

Porum Landing, under the bridge--next to the rural water district pump that pumps water out of the lake for the lake community. It's about the middle of the bridge, where all of the tie-up ropes are hanging off of the bridge... Get one of those fine nets that are used to dip trash out of swimming pools and put a long handle on it. Get a couple of submergable lights. Fish at night with the lights in the water. When the Shad begin to school around the lights, dip them out of the lake with your net and use them as bait. Then brace yourself for some serious Crappie/Sandbass action. Bring an extra ice chest with ice because you will need plenty of containers for all of the fish you'll catch. Bring enough beer because it's work and you will get thirsty.

WoW!!! Porum Landing, Lake Eufaula!!! I know what u r thinking, how does a Yankee boy know anything about this!!!

Well...my mother-in-law is from Porum. She grew up in a house on the main drag in Porum, with her 7 sisters! When I was dating my (now) wife, we all took a drive down to Oklahoma, to visit her family down there in 2004. Talk about a culture shock for a NY country boy!!! We fished on Lake Eufaula, and over at Porum Landing. Even drove up to Tulsa to go to Casa Bonita, a cool 'lil Mexican restaurant!

Talk about a small world, huh!! Are any of you Okie's from around that way. I know her cousin is married to a State CO, and they live around Tulsa.
