It doesn't sound right.

The warden must have been B.A.B. bigggest P.O.S i ever met. good f****** ridence.

On a lighter note, no weapon, or DB, then he should be on paid status.

good luck man.

We had an ex officer that was facing felony charges who is now in a state joint who was restricted from the building and was put in a perimeter vehicle with a weapon. Tell me that makes sense!

Re: LWOP for felony charge ...

We have an officer who spent over six months on "administrative suspension" (without pay) because he was indicted on a single charge of lying in an investigation. After two AUSAs and three OIG investigators, they finally gave up because they had no evidence. (And for the record, he was innocent.)

Not only did they suspend him without pay, they denied his request to use the 260 hours of annual leave he had on the books, including some leave that was already scheduled (use or lose) during that time period.

The first grievance on that was for improper denial of annual leave. The arbitrator's decision read like we had written it ourselves, agreeing with us on every point and making it clear how obvious it was that the agency officials were either complete idiots or blatant liars. That is, right up until the last line, where he ruled for the agency. WTF?

Anyway, the most important part of that ruling, was his declaration that the suspension was punitive, not administrative. That's important because now, over a year after he was returned to active status, they're trying to propose punishment for him.

This was an officer who bled Bureau blue, but now they've got a hard-on for him. Needless to say, he's now one of our best Union activists. Leave it to the BOP, they create the most hard-core unionists!

Amazing how that works. Making union activists and all.

Arbitration is a toss-up. Did the union appeal the arbitration?

Re: LWOP for felony charge ...

Let me clarify. IT'S NOT ME!! I'm the 2VP of our local and it doesn't sound right. Under our old "E-Board", this same officer was placed on LWOP by our current warden to clear up other legal issues that eventually were totally dismissed. Now, they're trying to do it again. He's a great guy, but suffers from alcoholism. We're getting him help, but are concerned about the LWOP. We're revamping out local and I thought there might be someone here with more experience that may know.
