Has anyone else in the BOP been told by the local tax office they have an earlier date to pay their occupational tax because they are a federal employee.

It's a tax you pay for the "privledge" of working in that state, county, town, etc...

Right now at Canaan, it's $10. It's supposed to go up to $52. Some towns are higher, some are a flat rate, others based on your job.

Come on up to PA. You'll learn all about it. I thought the vehicle privledge tax in MA was retarded. There you pay for the privledge of driving on their roads. I guess the high registration adn various other taxes couldn't cover it.
