"Mudslide", yeah, that's the one!

First SCR Caucus I ever went to, Bill W. taught New Stewards Training. He swore it wasn't picking on the guy, but at least 3/4 of his case scenarios were based on Mudslide.

I actually got to see the Infamous One after the 171 "informational picket" a few years ago. IIRC, he was wearing a cervical collar and orthopedic boot, walking on a cane, having slid completely beneath his car because of ice.

I could have the details wrong, though; 171 was very generous to those of us who came in support. ;-) My last clear memory of that night was of Sam C. getting all up in the face of some punk (by the prison definition) who was there with his mother.

You know that Mudslide's brother is a highly respected US Marshal don't you? He really is. Western District of Oklahoma.

And, Mudslide is still waiting for the Marshals to call him to go to work. He was waiting for the Oklahoma City PD for years, but I think he's too old now. Mudslide hasn't been too active lately. The last I heard about was when he did a citizen's arrest on some FTC employee who was driving too fast through his housing addition. Mudslide, allegedly, jumped out in front of the car with a Glock in one hand, and his credentials in the other, and made the arrest. I understand that the DA declined to press charges.

Re: Federal Correctional Institution, El Reno, OK

Sam C. did retire but he stayed on as union president. He is VERY active still in the Union. He told me the other day he is retired now, he only works half days. 12 hours a day that is.
