when i was there we use to refer to el reno as el reemer!!! i remember a lot of inmates called it twilight zone, especially holdovers.

arlo is one of the best!!!!i remember when i started at elreno and i was up in the towers arlo called me up on the phone and said no don't take this wrong, but i ain't catching but about every third word your saying over the box, i like ya but your going to have to slowwwwwwwwww it way dddddddddownnn!

where abouts do you live in calif? i was statione in san diego inthe early 70's and my son hsa been stationed in san diego and port huenmne[spelling] he is over in bahrain 3rd tour! been in the navy 8 1/2 years and never been staioned on a ship! i spent 40 out of 46 moths. aboard boats!!!!!! he has been assigned to the seebees twice and spswar once andnow he takes care of a seal teams supplies. he has been a second class for 5 1/2 years. his prvious assignment was as a guard at camp bucca in iraq ttyl g-man

I live in the Victorville area which is about 150 miles from San Diego, 90 from L.A., and about 160 or so from Vegas....pure desert out here...I talked to Arlo last night on the phone, he is still a mess and finally getting his retirement taken care of, I have helped him but ole Tiny has done the most to get him what he deserves! They really tired to screw him over, but now things are on the up hill swing for him! Wow, three tours for your son, that must be scary but you must be really proud!

glad to hear arlo is getting straighten out on his retirement there is ho excuse for not being treated with respect and timeliness. yes i'm proud of him and all that he has accomplished and hope he can pickup his e-6 he is long overdue.i got to see him 3 times this year so that was kind of special. twice in vegas . for our 30 th annv he paid for the rooms for himself our daughter and me and the "boss" that was the first time all 4 of us had been to vegas at on time he even paid for a helicoptrer ride over the strip at night. for my 55th bday he bought me a round trip ticket 2 nights in the luxor and seats to the ufc at mandalay bay! tickets were $ 800 a piece had a hell of a good time just the 2 of us. ttyl g-man

Now that is a "Great" son you raised there! I have a 21 year old daughter and all I get from her are her bills!!! LOL....maybe one day I will get something nice like that! :O

yes he's a keeper! i also have a 24 year old daughter who just graduated from college which we helped with half plus her car payment auto and health ins and unforunately she moved back home this summer. she can be a real BBBBBBBBBBitchh when she takes a notion she wants to get in the jet program and teach kids english in japan at this point a 5 year stay would'nt break my heart!the boy was alittle challenging during his junior year ,but once he decided to join the service during his senior year he pulled it out of you know where and has been a real joy.he always was alot more appreciative then the daughter. ttyl g-man
