Hell, we just got new computers that have DVD players in them, like that isnt trying to open a big can of worms... well, I guess I would rather have staff awake watching movies and doing the rounds than sleeping inbetween counts... too bad they dont feel that way.

For YEARS TDG did not have radios in the trucks, we circled the institution day in and day out. Bored out of our skulls. We pleaded with the administrations to PLEEEESE put a radio in the vehicles to help keep us occupied...

"NO!, you won't be paying attention and it could result in a lapse in security."

We had an AW to work a perimeter on a MW so the officer could go to Correctional Officers (It was called that then) Week. After his tour he said he had NO idea how we stayed awake all night, he was bored out of his mind...

About 3 or 4 days later raidos were put back in the trucks, and have had them for many years now...

Go figure.

I like this one. Never heard of it before.

Only allowed to use my work computer for work issues; can't use to play games/ watch videos or similar. Not a bad idea; I can wait til I'm home; but most of use work computer with no clues that we are being monitored!

Sounds like they're opening a big can of worms. We have CD-Rom at our place at most stations. And, USB.
