Re: FCI Jesup

I just checked my on line applications, and I have Texarkana listed as a choice. I would love to be in SIS. I wouldn't last long in there though. My philosophy is it is so easy for an inmate to put a hold on an officers career by simply making a B.S allegation. I would love to be the first one to have charges brought against the inmate for making a false statement under oatrh. I think the words are perjury, and obstruction of justice.

So far all I have heard is gripes based on rumors.
Enough said. What you have heard is tales of bitching & moaning. Don't let a little sniveling stampede you. What people need and respect is someone who will stand up and do what's necessary even if it's unpopular. Screw gripes & rumors.

Re: FCI Jesup

I just found out they picked up another LT for Jesup. On a positive note, 1 officer said she heard from another officer that I was talking about her behind her back about leave issues etc.. My Captain confronted the officer who said " I was talking about her behind her back. He got them in the same room, and suddenly the officer told the Captain in front of the other officer "I don't remember saying that." It is nice to know I have a Captain who will not just take one persons word over another.

You do realize that the master Agreement requires you to approve or deny unscheduled leave requests within 24 hours? That's something that the BOP and the union agreed to. Now, if that's unworkable under present conditions, there is a new Master Agreement being negotiated. Now is the time to negotiate a workable arrangement.
The rookies think they have it so bad at USP Terre Haute that I wouldn't be surprised if they actually file some BP 8's on some LT's!

How is Kevin Toney doing? I worked with him at Coleman along with some others. I will say this for the guys from Terre Haute. If Toney and Brandenburg are an example of the quality of staff there, I would love to work there. I cannot say enough good things about them. 2 words come to mind "Class Act". I always felt safe with the Terre Haute guys on shift.

Well, I just got a call from my Captain. He told me he was mistaken, and I am still in the running for Jesup. We will see what happens.

That is good news. Good luck!

If Jesup were closer to Savannah I definitely try to transfer there.
