Yes, these are grim statistics, but maybe if we get the word out the percentage of loss will go down. People who do not do the job you do, or have family or friends that do, don't have a clue. All they know is TV and newspapers. And we all know what that's like.

I for one, thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the job you do.

Damn that's depressing. Great I have only 12 more years to live. Well I think since I am a breast cancer survivor for 20 months I am going to do my best to beat that statistic. I dont drink or smoke not sure what I can give up and it will not be chocolate!!!!

so far after all i've been through i've defied the odds.been retired going on 6 years now.have the same supportive wife almost 31 years.never seriously assaulted,although accused of having seriouslyassualting several inmates!!still got couple of years left i think,only 56!!!!quit smoking 21 years ago this october 20th!! as a three pack a day habit for close to 20 years i know i'm lucky.my knees are shot,most of my hair is gone,can't hear real good after too many airlifts at el reno without ear protection,and i ain't near as pretty as i was 25 years ago,but who is! i do disagree with management causing 60 % of the stress and anxiety,i would say its more like about 95%!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nuf' said from one worn out, beat down lifer from usp heavenworth!!!!!!!!!
