Some inmates injured in prison fights

LITTLETON - Several fights broke out on Monday afternoon at a federal prison, forcing the facility into lockdown.

The fights were at Federal Prison Englewood, which is located in Littleton.
According to Public Information Officer Herman Quay, correctional officers responded quickly and managed to get the situation under control. No inmates were seriously injured and Quay says most just had cuts, scrapes and bruises. No staff members were injured during the incident.

The facility remains under lockdown as prison officials try to determine all those involved in the fights, according to Quay. During lockdowns inmates are required to stay in their cells, have no access to phones and will only be allowed legal visits.

The Federal Correction Institution (FCI) Englewood is a medium security facility located off U.S. Highway 285 and South Kipling.

We had a good LT in TRV that went to ENG. TRV pushed him out for doing the right thing...backing up his officers. I hope Watson is doing good down there.

Maybe thats why Bush wants to send $500 million to Mexico, to help with the hispanic gangs that flood our system?
