Question Woman gets away with Murder

Woman arrested after death of guard gets year in jail

Associated Press - March 25, 2008 1:25 PM ET

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A woman accused of helping a prisoner change clothes after the death of a guard has been sentenced to a year in jail.

Trisha Tower pleaded guilty in January to obstruction of justice. With credit for time served, she will remain behind bars for three more months.

She hid Curtis Allgier's prison jumpsuit after he stopped at her Salt Lake City home following the death of Stephen Anderson.

Anderson was shot with his own gun while accompanying Allgier to a medical appointment at the University of Utah last June.

Allgier escaped from the clinic but was captured at a fast-food restaurant. He could get the death penalty if convicted of killing Anderson.

I'm trying to remember, what happened with Allgier. Seems like the woman got off light.

Curtis was on a downtown hospital trip with 1 60 yo CO (he was considered one of the most dangerous inmates in Utah at the time mind you). He escaped from his zip cuffs, got the CO's side arm then killed him. He was captured a day later.

In case you don't remember what he looks like, here you go-http://a.abcnews.com/images/US/ap_al..._070627_ms.jpg

She should have been charged with complicity. What has society come to?

I heard it put best once "Kill em all and let God sort em out". That is just sad. An officer dies because of scum, A woman helps, get's one year and he COULD get the death penalty IF convicted.
