Riot at the Pittsburg County, OK Jail.

McALESTER -- A fight at the Pittsburg County Jail turned into a riot involving 40 inmates before authorities quelled the disturbance with help from local police and a tactical team from a nearby prison.

Inmates broke out of their cells Tuesday afternoon and went on a rampage inside the jail for nearly 10 hours, at one point smashing through a door that leads outside, said Pittsburg County Undersheriff Richard Sexton.

No officers were injured, but several inmates were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Full Story at TulsaWorld

They called in our CERT Team and they arrived as a few of the inmates were exiting the building. They drove a van up against the door to bar it and keep more from coming out. Once everyone was evacuated and suited up in went the gas canisters. Few minutes to let the gas hit the entire area and in to mop up.

I think it is funny when the "REAL COPS" have problems with their inmates, who do they call

The REAL Officers

On a serious note, Glad no one was hurt except for a few of the inmates that stumbled and hit every wall on the way out.

Which CERT teams were involved?
