You'll be working with a lot of my fellow co-workers there that are working overtime. You guys at the Wallace, and Ware facilities are working overtime out the ass right now, because you are seriously understaffed. I have never worked there, but all the reports I get is that it's a fairly friendly unit. Like I said that is not my personal opinion because I have never been there, but good luck to you anyway, and if you ever get the chance come down here to the Rob, and check it out. #1.....

bosses letting inmates get away with just about anything they want, no reprocussions for their actions basically. I never worked there, so all info is stuff I have been told, and not experienced. I believe it though, because it's coming from people I have worked with for years.

Re: Texas Corrections

Poor management then? Are they allowing the thugs to get away with things because management doesn't want to cope with problems?

That's nearly always the case in the BOP. Managers and supervisors will preach about enforcing the rules until some officer actually tries to. Then that officer is seen as a 'problem' once the thugs start complaining, and is reigned in or punished in a variety of ways. An example is then set and people come to work just to collect a paycheck. Going beyond the bare minimum puts one at risk of being punished or fired.
