I was working for 3 months before i went to that wonderful training class some call Glenco. i had more life experience here at the pen and learned more here than there. i was told to stop talking in class cause i had more experiences than the rest of the class combined lol...

On average, the people in my class had been on the job 3-4 months. We only had one person who came straight to Glynco after IF. Also quite a few people had prior corrections/law enforcement experience.

We didn't have any 'know-it-alls' who thought they knew everything and then spent the entire class talking, making it harder for everyone else to learn.

I didnt know it all its jsut they used USP Florence for there model of what not to do basically. I have seen and responded to so much here in the 3 months prior to Glynco they didnt want the rest of the class learning anything that i was taught on how and what to do in any situation. we respond differently than how they teach we dont hit our BA's for an inmate on inmate fight we use that for staff only. They dont like that.

I had to literally bite my tongue in parts of the class because BOP policy was so much different than the way the facility where I work is run. I imagine if a hard-butt warden came in there, there would be a major issue, but so far they have been pretty lucky. PM me for details.
