so far so good. BUT I don't have to work in booking (the inmate is in a seg cell
there) tomorrow... I'm housing rover so I'll be dealing with other stuff.
Hope the inmate poops 2 more times before Tuesday when I'm back over
there....
Just think, if he likes you, maybe he'll wait 'til Tuesday!!!

Re: Dry cell

I remember one inmate that was on dry cell for a month. The dude just would not take a dump! He was eating and even given laxatives. Around week four or five, you couldn't get a Lt to answer his radio for nothing!

Finally the day came and it was all the news around the joint. I think he filled up an entire bucket. The officer video taping was dry heaving, inmate was laughing...and the balloons....holy cow it looked like a bubble gum machine broke open.

Re: Dry cell

Why do the i/m even bother they know that we will win. Cause at our joint, they are in the dry cell till something happens several times. One would think that instead of being in a dry cell for days using a plastic bag...they would just give it up. And again we will win!!!

I agree, I think sometimes they do it just to make us work.

Re: Dry cell

I haven't had to deal with dry cells, hopefully my luck will hold there. When I have worked our mental health lock down unit, I've used mentholatum ointment under my nose. Anything to keep the smell out. I never have figured out why an inmate will smear feces all over his cell. I don't have to clean it up or live in there! I know, I know "why ask why?"

Re: Dry cell

It's been awhile, but I don't recall all this being in the original description of my job!! I can just see it "Make a difference, protect society, dig through s**t" Nope it would never work....

LMAO, very good point. If they were to add that to the recruiting info, just how many would apply.
