Walk through the housing unit with several trash bags in your hand wearing rubber gloves.

It helps if you have a buddy staff member or two or three.

Yell "Shakedown"...

If the unit has PO-ed you, take all their stuff - even the stuff the new CO's don't touch.

Or just take it all to prove a point (get out the property list and get religious about following it).

Or wait until they flush all their stashes and then say "just kidding" and go back to your office and surf the internet...

That was great advice BOPSTEW.I even take off my wedding ring and leave it in my locker or my car.I dont want the inmates to know **** about me.

We were taught that to figure whatever we have on us can get into the inmates hands before we even relize whats going on. So bring nothing in that you wouldnt want an inmate to have.
