LDM you take care of yourself. Keep low to the ground and run in a zig-zag pattern when you have to. And if you could, try to sneak me one of those mean looking machines home....that would be fun to play in for a couple of days.

OK, off my soapbox now.
I know what you mean about Ramadan....when I was in the military, I won't say where, (it was a military post on US soil though) but back in 91 after the first war, they had a bunch of Saudi soldiers there for training....we had to change the way the post ran basically to accomodate our foreign friends religious beliefs....Ramadan was a big thing.....even when Ramadan wasn't going on, every day at certain times they would play music over the loud speakers, training would stop and they would pray, they were the real deal.....

Speaking of which, we started it at our facility also for our so called muslims. I think there is probably one or two that is true to the religion, the rest are folks just jumping on the band wagon because they are locked up.....just my opinion.........

Anyway, stay safe over there and keep sending us good photos and info.

Are you staying there in Baghdad or will you eventually be going to Bucca?

For some odd reason the EPWs seem to always have testicular torsions and facial lacerations in Bucca. lol

LDM,

Be careful driving that MRAP. There have been too many rollovers since we have added all that armor to them. I know they are suppose to modify them to try to counter that little problem. While out there driving in them stay alert the insurgents are now aiming for the windows and the fuel tanks with EFP IED's . Stay safe and remember if you all have issues with any equipment over there make sure you have someone talk to the 402nd AFSB in Iraq. They are the Army Materiel Command's forward support brigade and are there to help. Or email me and I can get it directly to the head shed.

LDM,
A tidbit of news i thought you and your unit might find useful.

MRAP EGRESS TRAINERS: - The development and fielding of an egress trainer that will be reconfigurable to replicate each MRAP variant to train Soldiers and Marines in a realistic device to get out of an MRAPs that has rolled over. (DOWNIE)

Ramadan.. ugh.. We had a HOLD unit of Muslim inmates FORGET it was Ramadan.. so they ate dinner and then bitched when they found out.

I found it humorous. Nothing against Muslims.. to each his own.. however.. I know when Christmas and Easter is.. You should know when your own religious holidays start.

Good point and if they were "true" Muslims, they would have known that!
