Research methods in CJ? Oh well, that sounds like TOOOOOOOOOO much fun! lol
I didnt learn a thing in Algebra. I barly passed it. X+Y=, means absolutely nothing to me. I hated it so much that the day after the class was over I forgot everything about the class, and refuse to remember any of it.

Why does it have to tie to DOC training? You said that the dean wanted you to show how your training and experience have taught you about the 4th, 5th, 8th, and 14th amendments. Experience could easily be what you experience via your own research that was inspired by that wonderful DOC training and the joys of working in prison with all those wonderful and precious "Offenders."

This is how I prove its worth to my children.

I have five potatoes and need ten.

5 potatoes + Y = 10 potatoes

Simple algebra, but still algebra.

See, I use it to make dinner. THAT makes it important!

So, in light of all that, you may contact me by PM to offer financial aid/scholarships since I have not been able to locate anything for this level!!!!

Just one boob? I would have grabbed both boobs! Congrats!

Re: time to get philosophical, I suppose

Have you looked into the Federal Perkins Loan and discharge? I believe that it will cover up to 100% of your student expenses so long as you are a full-time correctional officer (worker)? I think you have to get financial assistance from another source first, but then you can use this program to cancel your loans. Basically, they pick up the tab from the other source. For instance, you go through Sally Mae to cover your student expenses. You won't have to pay anything to Sally Mae until 6 months after you graduate with your degree. Then, during the 6 months after you graduate you apply for the Federal Perkins Loan discharge to cover ALL of your debt with Sally Mae (or other lender) and you're in the clear. I believe that's how it works. In the third link I provided it states that one of the professions covered at or up to 100% is full-time law enforcement or corrections officer. I hope this helps a little!
