What about PA DOC academe how long is it, do you at least get weekends off or get to go home at night got a wife with 3 kids would like to know that Im not going to miss alot of them once I get back.
Also what is academe like, what do we do there? |

I went to the PA DOC Academy a long time ago (1990). I believe it was 4 weeks back then. I think it may be 5 weeks now. We did have weekends off. I'm sure thats still the case. I cant say what its like now. Back then, it was your basic corrections training etc. I would think the PA DOC Academy has come a long way since 1990. Quite sure the training has gotten better.

5 weeks ouch, I guess if it helps me learn what I need and I get to go home on weekends at least. Hopefully I know most of it from OJT byt the time I get there so its really more of a refresher....
Can any one from PA confirm this for sure how long it is... |
