I think you're right about the 15 years. I remember seeing something about that on their website.

Currently in the military here, and interested on this "buy back" I will have 9 years in when I start to move to CO, and I am interested to know does my military service carry over to retirement.
I can start a pention at 15yrs? That seems very reasonable ill be like 45 not to bad concidering i would have been 41 for the military.

I dont know the exact particulars with the military buy back program. I know you can use your military time to build a stronger state retirement. That much I do know. I would contact the instutution human resources, to get final clarification on things

I need to find out just what the retirement number of years for PA are and if the prison I want to work at takes the military buy back. I Guess I am stil a little lost on that part.
How does the buy back work? How much does it cost?
