This is plain sick. You cannot rehabilitate a child molestor. The A/W at our facility has reformed the procedures in our visiting rooms, Thank God! I cringe to think of any child setting on an Inmate (Offender's) lap. I can't state what I think should happen to this molestor but it wouldn't be pretty...

I have questioned the very same thing at my facility.
Normally I do not work visitation, but recently I've worked it a couple of times. There was at least one child molester having a visit with his wife and a small child I assumed to be one of his grand kids. When I questioned why this was allowed I was told there was nothing in law, his sentencing or policy that prohibited him from visiting with small children.

Well, thank heavens Missouri is progressive on this. Child sex offenders get no visits with children until they have been through a lengthy approval process. Usually takes me about six to eight weeks to review and recommend. And I look at EVERYTHING before I make my recommendation.

AND the children have to be biological or step, etc. family ONLY. BUT if there is any history of abuse against their own children biological/step etc., I recommend denial. Haven't had one of my recommendations overturned yet. I am thorough. I figure it is on my back if he hurts a child. Same thing with other victims.

wow this is the crazyiest thing that i have heard, I think its crazy. Why would the mom not say anything about it the first time that she noticed it or at lease not come back to visit
