No Longer Inmates, Now Offenders
We got a memo the other day stating that we are no longer allowed to refer to our Offenders as Inmates.. they are offenders.
All reports, logs, etc have to have them as Offender SoandSo.. or they are kicked back by the Chief's office.. this hit the other camps yet? I find it funny that my report will be sent back and need to be rewritten if I refer to them as "inmate" in the body of my report.. but the pre-typed incident report fields ask for "Inmate Name" or "Injury (Staff/Inmate)."

I see that that pendulum is starting back to left of center. They'll be wanting you suck them off next.
Write to your senators & representatives, and the governor. Those reports are legal documents and every reference to inmates in Oklahoma law that I've ever seen refers to inmates as "inmates," not "offenders." Don't assume that the courts won't make the distinction.
