Inmate stabbed to death at state penitentiary


McALESTER -- An Oklahoma State Penitentiary inmate was stabbed to death Friday morning, officials said.

Jack Chance, 24, was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body after guards responded to reports of a fight in an exercise yard, warden's assistant Terry Crenshaw said.

Chance was taken to the infirmary, where he was pronounced dead by the prison's physician, Crenshaw said. A knife was recovered, and another inmate was moved to segregated housing in connection with the stabbing, Crenshaw said.

Chance was serving a life sentence without parole for murder out of Oklahoma County.

Cory, do you not have metal detectors for screening these thugs before they go to rec, or are the weapons they are using non-metal?

They are stripped naked before being removed from the Cell.. their clothes are searched and placed in a pile in the middle of the quad.. they are removed and wanded. They are then dressed and walked through an upright detector.

Actually.. They haven't been killing each other. This one was different than the others. This was a killing.. the others had weapons but they were either REALLY incompetent or killing wasn't the goal.

Killing was the goal of this one.

Cory if they keep this up you all will empty out LARC in a hurry. Heck i have a few I'd like to send your way. Teach them what a real prison is like. They think they have it hard here at camp hug-a-thug.

Here is the DOC profile on him. Cory what was the story on this guy?? Who did he kill, What got his ass shanked, not a well liked thug, or did he owe someone big time?? Gang related. (is it not all gang related?) I was wondering about his tats, I know prison tats tell a story, or ID gangs they are in. I would like to learn more about gang tats.
