'Wife Beater' carved into Jacksonville man's chest

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say someone knocked a Jacksonville man unconscious and carved the words "Wife Beater" into his chest.

According to a police report, the 22-year-old naval officer was attacked after he left a bar. When the man woke up in a haze, he lifted his bloody shirt and found the phrase scrawled on his stomach.

The man, who was arrested in March on a domestic battery charge, filed a police complaint Monday on the advice of his naval commander.

Undoubtedly she or someone "they" know was involved. Bet he thinks twice before knocking her around next time though. They should have carved it backwards so he could read it every morning in the mirror.
