With the sea-shore rotation, would have gone to @22 yrs. At the time was looking at LDO program after they paid for my college.

Basically got tired of saying bye to the family and coming home 9+ months later. Did a lot of sea time on three ships and then instructor duty at engineering command.

Ahhh, Ft McClellan, good times. I was there in 1997. Aniston is the most polluted town in America as it turns out.

I remember many years ago, the Army was offering huge bucks for people to reclass to 54E. It was a difficult school to graduate from and I think they were even offering some pretty choice assignments if you went "chem". One guy I was stationed with in Vicenza went to chem school in Vilseck, Germany and once he held that MOS, he could pretty much write his own ticket.I remember him telling me that in his opinion, one the most challenging aspects of "chem" school was formulating downwind predictions.

I didn't think they taught anything too tough in school, although with it being OSUT I don't remember crap anyway, I was all hopped up on the no doze. It has changed a lot in the last few years. I went over to the Air Force equivalent of 54 and after running into some army guys I was impressed on what they knew.
