PeeWee looks like you followed me from the Rok to Guam, only 5 years later...
what did you think of Guam???
I hated Guam when I first landed there. 9/11 had just happened, security was off the wall, and every one was finding "bombs" everywhere. I responded to suspicous packages consantly. After everyone calmed down, about 6 months later. It was pretty awesome. Who wouldn't love being on a tropical Island?

Re: Show your military pride

Ok I feel left out....I didn't serve in the military...they wouldn't take me cause I was a liability (to much metal in my body)....HOWEVER, I am a proud military brat.

My dad was U.S. Army stationed in Alaska during the Korean War era

I have six brothers, a brother-in-law (mustang LT retired from U.S.S. J.F. Kennedy) and a sister-in-law all Navy (all have since retired)

I have a niece who just left the Air Force (dangit she left Colorado before I could get there)

I have a brother-in-law and of course Gunner who are Marines....

So yes, you can bet family reunions are a fun time with all these military persons drinking and talking.....LOL

I bet everything you owned there still smells like fish!

I had to pick my car up at Bremerhaven in '86. Just reading the name, I can still smell it. Not bad, just very very fishy!

And yes guys my dad, the Army man of the family thinks that is a great joke...

Now for all you Army guys..... Do you know what Marines and bananas have in common?.....They all hit the beaches green and they all die in bunches (and that one was told to me by my daddy)....And yes, this is what family reunions are like...one bust on the other joke after another but all in good fun...LOL

I guess I shouldn't be upset about being called up with the Guards.. 2004? Damn. I was on my first deployment that year.
