That isn't a very good salary for PMCs in the Middle East.

its better than what us is getting paid no my foot has permanent nerve damage so it cant be fixed, but i dont think pmcs have to pass a pt test from wht ive read most are high paid security guards, dyncorp is the last merc outfit, dont really care about the pay though looks like i might finally get my tour.

Actually, many PMCs have PT tests mandated by their contracting agency. For instance, the guards working in Bosnia must pass the PT test outlined in AR 190-56, The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program. If I am not mistaken it is 20 push-ups, 20 sit-ups, and a 1 mile run in 10 minutes. In fact, I think that is true of any PMC contracted through the US Army.

Re: private military contractors part 2

i could prob pass the pt if i dont have to run everyday thats what kept breaking it in the army and from what ive read the second time it was hurting it was a stressfracture i have read stress fractures have a hard time healing and theres a big chance it could happen again it only happened twice when i had to run they might have the position filled theres guys who jump on this, ive never left the county before not sure if they provide any training would i have to get it before or when i ge there not sure what to do about my bills maybe i can auto pay the 20th is so sudden wouldn give alot of time which sucks because a guy at work is friends with the sheriff in the county i just applied for he is going to go ask him why i havent heard anything, im waitng to hear from him which means i probably will not get to do this timing is always at a badtime for me, does getting hired at a sheriffs office a long process before you hear from them?

Dude, a suggestion: Paragraphs. It makes it easier on the eyes.

To answer your question. It depends on a lot of factors. Sometimes a department will accept application over a long period of time. During that phase the applicants will not be contacted. They may also disqualify some of the applicants based on their application and many times the applicant isn't notified.

You best bet it to call the Sheriff's Office that you applied to and ask their recruiter or HRM.

Re: private military contractors part 2

yeah i'll do that tommorrow, i thought about blackwater but there on the other side of the state plus an 8 week course and you have to pay them 20000 to join, my cuz said after he got out of the army in the 80s he went to mercenary school i told him they have long since been outlawed, then he told me to try the french foreign legion dont even know how i would get over there plus they are very hard to get into and 18 weeks of training my foot would never make it, maybe i will try the 3 years of law enforcement then try to join the peacekeepers i would like to earn my blue beret dont know what there training is.
