ever since i was a kid i have had some type of warrior mentality maybe colin powell said it best every soldier wants to go to war until he gets there, i know itll suck but i really want to do it always have, an old marine i was talking to said you have to go and get it out of your system, but thats became a struggle for me maybe two or three years down the road ill get it, hopefully ill comeback if not thats the price i pay for wanting that job, but if i die doing what i think is right then i have no problem with that.

Look man I just cant hold my toung and if gets me in hot water here so be it... if you are looking for a war and want to fight DO NOT GO IN TO LAW ENFORCEMENT! We have enough crap to deal with and fighting is the BAD part of our job... If you go looking for a fight you will find it and get someone (not you) killed trying to back your play... You say you have a warrior mentality? Great then go out and join the army, shoot paint balls, take on all the video games in the world, but please for the love of god do not go in to law enforcement.

Part of being in law enforcement is writing reports, statements, and daily logs. As such, grammar and punctuation are extremely important topics on which to have a good working knowledge. It is even important to be able to express yourself in a professional manner in security related fields. I’d suggest that you take a serious look at the way you express yourself and correct areas in which you are deficient.

I saw you said it wasn't going to happen but since I just saw this I'll throw in my two cents for anyone else looking at the job. You said its in Qatar and I will say that is an excellent place to be for that kind of pay. You would most likely be on the base the US Army and Air Force have there. I ended up getting to go there for about a week during my deployment with the Marine Corps. The food is great, they have beer and a crapload of things to do for fun. If you get offered that kind of money to go to Qatar I'd definatly recomend going for it.

I have to agree. I don't mean this wrong but if you have a warrior mentalilty etc dynacor and Qatar is not going to make you happy. Dynacor is primarily a company that keeps up the nations war reserve. they also are the majority of F 18 maintance for the Kuwait Air Force. I was at Qatar (Al Udied AB) shortly after 9/11 for the Afganistan build up. I was there (and other places)for over 200 +days and worked with some Dynacor security guys. They are really nice guys but Qatar is about as pro American as you are going to get in that area. Your biggest issue will be the langauge barreir between the other Third Country Nationals (which several Dynacor employees will be).

There is also (or was) a large Dynacor presence in Kuwait when I was there in 99. The same in Kuwait, you are not going to get to express that warrior mind set etc.

Also Dynacor might loan out equipment but their security personnel are not taking active part in DEA work. Short of providing perimiter security or gear guard you really wont be involved DEA runs their own show.

Agian I have been as close to them without working for them and thats what I have seen. Good luck in whatever you choose!

Re: private military contractors part 2

i cant do it for two years they said i have to have two years armed guard exp so i will hopefully get the part time detention officer go over then have something to fall back on when i come home, this guy at work said his son is in qatar and some of his old army buddies he said contractors stay on base for first three months then they go out with soldiers on patrol. Also i hear dyncorp doesnt take anyone until there 26 so i have three years, isaw something about DEA in afghanistan burning drug crops at first they were dressed liked US soldiers the i seen they were dyncorp guys ive read they help out in south america fighting the drug wars i dont know if they still do it.
