Peacekeepers are drawn from the militaries of member nations, not hired off the street. The UN does have some Law Enforcement personnel, but they require extensive experience and education.

I feel you on this issue I can see you really want to serve someone somewhere. I respect that. But there are alot of ways you can serve the country that don't involve a pt test. If you really want to be a CO or a PO maybe go to school get the education and from there you can go anywhare. It sucks that your foot is messed but most of what your looking to do will take at least a pt test... and a physical

i know but the co thing was my secondary if the military didnt work out, the days of signing up and getting your weapon and being sent somewhere are long gone i understand why but with low troop levels i wish they had a program for people like me who could eveything except run except when its really time to, not sure what to do if the CO thing doesnt work out nothing out there that interests me.

Not a great deal, but not as bad as it looks when you consider the earnings are tax free.

Lets not call it Merc school! I did not pay 20,000 to Blackwater when I went through. They PAID me, even during training. I did however need 3-5G to travel with initially for those cost that sneak up on you. ACOG sights..etc. Prefer the name Operator or Contractor. And PT is no joke for most contractors/ Agencies operating in theatre. Your life and those around you will depend on that.

Education is key and I would start there as mentioned before. You may not be interested in going to school but employers will see that as well. You will go much further with college if you have no Military to build your resume. Plenty of grants out there and ways to pay for school.
