the best part of my week was my root canal

So, really, the best part of my week was my root canal. At least through yesterday. lol

Monday was Monday. Why are Mondays just bad? What makes them that way? WHY WHY WHY????

Tuesday. Interview for promotion. Ok. Some of the questions were ok for me but then one threw me for a loop. So how do I respond? With a stupid question, of course. Exit promotion! lol Then I leave to get my root canal. Thank god I love my dentist. He serenades me (I'm sure he does it to everyone but it sure is nice when he is doing it to me lol) so it wasn't too terrible. Well except the grinding and the bleach taste.

Wednesday. STOP THE INSTITUTION. Someone's TV was stolen. REALLY??? A TV WAS STOLEN??? IN PRISON??? AND THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE THAT ARE CONTRABAND???? Anyhow, stop the institution and search EVERY cell because a TV was stolen on Monday. Because most certainly it would found on WEDNESDAY!!!

Oh and then the fire drills. The other units were first. Mine was last. I supervise the unit with the most compliant offenders. So, with that being said, about 30 minutes before the drill (because they had seen the other units done) my house is empty. My yard is full, but my house is empty. ROFL I just giggled and giggled and giggled. Then the fire drill guy says No fire drill for you. I said, BULLSH##! You are going to wait until they are back inside then pull the alarm. I was right. Still cleared my unit in better time than all the others. I still giggle thinking about all those offenders in the yard waiting for the drill to be done.

So, on to home. Call from my mechanic. "ohhh, Brandi (an alias). Ohh, Brandi." (No, not the kind like phone sex, the kind like "you don't want to hear this.") Then he tells me I have a blown head gasket. He will fix it, but he can't guarentee something else won't go wrong. (I know, no duh, but then again I am sure some moron would expect him to work miracles.) So, he is nice and says if you were thinking about buying a new car, now might be a good time. I said, no, not for another 4 years. I swear he laughed or maybe just giggled. Apparently he seems to think that my car will probably not last four more years. Something about it already has 260,000 miles on it. Geesh! I planned to aim for 1,000,000. And my kid plans to drive it when he turns 16. The car has things to do. Mainly get me to work for the next four years! lol

So, Thursday. Work. Volunteer stuff outside of work. Just a long day. Then my tooth started hurting. Yeah, the one that got worked on. Yeah at bedtime of course.

And today. TGIF! TGIF! TGIF!

Called the dentist. He "hooked me up" with antibiotics and pain killers. Waiting for both to kick in (hence the rambling).

So, my car is getting fixed. I'm on edge until I get it back. Still a little ticked about the whole search thing but oh well. Sometime that a** that ordered it will get his.

Gosh, I rambled A LOT. MORE than normal. lol Today was decent. Two complaints withdrawn. YIPPEE! One complaint answered. Left my desk somewhat clear.

Wow, seems like quite the week. My only complaint for this week was running over a dead deer that was in the road. There was nothing I could do, I was going 60 at night with cars behind and beside me and didn't see it until it was in my lights, so I couldn't do anything but try to stradle it. Unfortunately, it ripped some emissions and wireing apart under the wife's car and jacked the allignment (not to mention all the deer hair everywhere!!). So, another insurance claim for me, good thing this one's a comp claim!

damn! At least if you hit it fresh you MIGHT be able to take it home for eatin!

Oh and on the way home from work yesterday me and my carpool buddy saw a sign: LOST HAIRLESS DOG REWARD

We laughed for 10 minutes. I said that it wasn't lost, it was out looking for it's wig. I will refer it to you for the deer hair. I'm sure it will look natural. Oh dear I think I am going to start being goofy again! rofl

I think the best part of my week was my three days off. Yup, I put in for an annual day to go along with my days off. It was awesome.

That's impossible around here, I've been trying to get a day or two extra just to get some work done around my house and they keep denying it. I guess they're gonna get a surprise when I tell them I need Christmas to New Years off in order to burn my 129 hours of use or loose.

You could always do what these lops around here do. They ask for an annual day it gets denied so they call in sick.

The best part of my month has been being off of work. Start New Mexico State Prison academy on the 31st so I took and quit working in Texas on the 3rd. So I have about 16more days of no work then it is off to two full months of academy.
