Seanc
![]() If you've read my other post about SEANC you'll know I questioned their dealings with ACORN due to photos from a SEANC protest of Blue Cross Blue Shield which was also a rally to support Obama's proposed health care bill. Last night in Greenville, NC SEANC held a town hall meeting to "discuss" the health care bill. It turned out the last thing anyone organizing this event wanted to do was discuss anything. Basically they were there to pat themselves on the back and inform SEANC members that the organization was totally behind the health care bill. Anyone who was opposed too the bill that dared to speak was shouted down, cut short and in one instance the microphone was actually taken from someone. I walked in to work this morning and the first thing I did was to go to Admin and cancel my SEANC membership. If you do not support the health care bill, if you do not support your membership dues being used to support SEIU and possibly going to groups like ACORN then I encourage you to do the same if you were foolish enough as I was to join them in the first place. My reason for joining 6 years ago was SEANC is the only organization working for state employees but after having watched them for the past few years I don't believe SEANC gives two hoots in hell about State Employees. SEANC exists solely to spread a liberal agenda. My advise...get out now. |

Re: Seanc
SEANC can bite me. They came in our line up last month and preached about fighting for us. Well, why didn't they fight for our 5% raise after graduating basic or the other 5% for making it 12 months?

Re: Seanc
I agree with you 100% Bowles. Fortunately, I never joined SEANC and from what I've seen of them, I'm glad I never did. You made the right choice

Re: Seanc
SEANC is a joke and I think we all should band together and get others to cancel their memberships because as long as I have been a member I have not once seen one thread of evidence where they have worked for us. I have only seen evidence where they failed.

Re: Seanc
I haven't heard anything yet about raises. As far as I know, promotions aren't worthy for a pay raise. We have some officers in Sergeant's training right now but none of them have heard anything.
