Hey Few Qustions About NYSDOC

Hello everyone I’ am new to this site and before I start asking questions I will fill you in a little about myself. I’ am 22 years old and a NYS Bail Bondsmen and Bail Enforcement agent I have been looking to change my career for about a year now for I have been doing this for a while and my family just recently sold the business. I applied for the NYPD and got called started the process but was held up due to being short 3 college credits. I than was talking with a few friends of mine who work for NYS D.O.C. and became very interested. I’ am taking the test on 4/12/08 and was wondering if I could get a little insight on the process and the academy what it is like or any thing you can offer. I also had a question about the Background Investigation process. I have never been arrested for anything and never any moving violations, I have great work experience and have never been fired for any reason but I do have a few suspensions in the past on my driver license. They were NON moving violations and were for failure to pay a fine they were for parking tickets or equipment violations. My NYPD investigator said that because they were non moving and because I did clear them up that It wouldn’t hurt me with the NYPD do you think that is the same for NYS D.O.C.? Any help Would be Great THANK YOU
