My concern is after the interview I relized that there may be some gray area in a a question that I answered. Specifically, it was in reference to "have you ever been counseled or demoted at a job before".

I told them no. After the fact I think I should have told them yes. Here is what I am getting at.

At my job, proceedures are constantly changing. Sometimes it is even based on who you are dealing with. Usually it consist of hey you should have handled this situation this way etc. I have come to find out that anytime they talk to you about an issue they must document it. I was not aware of that. Apparently it is a supervisory policey.

Also four years ago I was shot on duty and it is mandated by PA Law that before a police officer returns to duty that "Counseling session must be attended" deem him fit for duty.

Six years ago I was a shift Sergeant and the Chief came in and told me that he was moving me back to a patrol officer. He told me not to view it as a demotion " He just felt that at that time in my career I was better suited for patrol". The Sergeant positions were "at will" positions and could be taken and given at any time. Thus I do not view this as a demotion.

Again am I being neurotic or will I have a chance to clarify this as I relized after the fact?

I just don't want this to bite me on the arse two years down the road.
