Researched yersterday Florida does not have any standards they only require a CCW permit (Free if you are LEO). Take care.

That's exactly how it is. State laws apply as to those specific places you can't carry, and you must qualify annually to state LEO standards. And I'm sure Florida does have standards. Some states don't. No state standard, no need to qualify to something that doesn't exist.

I have a Florida CCW too, and I haven't been to Florida since 1971!!

Okie I was reading the LEOSA ACt again after 20 months of retirement. We as BOP LEOs basically are not exempt from state laws requiring the carrying of concealed weapons. As I read it it basically states we have to qualify every year from the state u reside in (Florida ) in, I just got my CCW permit then go through all the crap is this 99% of Leos here don't even know about this?? Is this how u understand it too?
