We had the Kramer the speed boat racer and a helicopter attempted to get him out of the high security rec yard. He jumped in the chopper another inmate jumped and grabbed the skid causing the rear roter to hit the fence and crash. This broke both of Kramers legs and did minor injuies to the pilot and the other inmate. The other inmate stated that he was attempting to stop the escape.

That has to be the night of the hostage ordeal. 3 jamacan possie members took a GS11 Lt hostage at gun point by the rear gate on evening watch. After about 30 min. all ended up at the front entrance. One of the hostage takers yelled they wanted a chopper. At that time a news helicopter came over the front entrance building. I yelled I hear the blackhawk above I hear them hovering. The hostage taker gave up shortly after.

Crayers I was asking 1.5 m. Which night u asking about, the 2 attempted helicopter escapes. the 3 who walked out the front door, 2 that went over the front lobby roof, hostage night? Something was always going on. That was the tightest staff I worked with. If we had a problem it went into the training center, then we went to a local Pub and drank a beer. Failure to have a beer after an altercation was one way to get pushed a side.

Hello crayers, LTABM and I worked together. I use to hand out doggie bicuits and burritos to staff. I put the OLD MCC miami up for sale and listed the wardens home phone number to be reached if buyers were interested.
I retired 4 years ago after watch krustie Lt's getting time on the street for pulling practical jokes on rookies. Had 21 yrs in BOP and 6 years at state Pen. I worked with several staff from the POC. in my time, solid very solid staff.

Thank you Crayers for el respeto! Like I said, I had the privilege of working with a few real hacks from the POC and man! They could talk sh&t to inmates, made then wet their shorts! They showed me a few things.

When I started at TI, we still had a few real seasoned 8's that had worked in Alcatraz, they broke this boy in good! We had a few real good LT's from the POC there too, I remember I was working seg officer and the LT and I were making rounds. One thug went off on the LT and told him if he had the huevos he would come in and kick his a#s. The LT turned to me and said, "Open the grill..." and he did just that, went in there and knocked him out ! Those were the good lo days, when an inmate knew he had an as$ kicking coming he'd take it like a thug.

Man I feel you, when you talk about your bro Scott, it is a hard thing to go through. I had just left MCC San Diego, when they killed my bro there. All of this needless and senseless and the BOP honchos just sweep it under the carpet.

My son-in-law opened ATW as an eight. He was taught old school ways, with their warden Obrien. He's an LT at Victorville USP now, still old school.

    Crayers,

I never worked Lompoc, but worked with a few that were there, probably before yer time. I started in TI back in '73. You think 'ol school", I like that!

I retired at FCI Big Spring in 2000. "99 bout wore my a$$ off we had three riots within 4 months, two of them I was in the middle of. The last one was on M/W, June 22nd. It kicked off at 1:30 AM. I was the ops, had 7 good hacks with me...we had to exit real quick from the rear gate, but came back strong on the secure side of the slow down fence. We expended about 25 rounds of #4 buck shot, wounding about 4 thugs. Oh the sweet sound of shotguns going off in the compound! It put there **** in the dirt real fast.

Luckily I had a good Corr Svc Administrator who backed me and my shift all the way, God bless him, Steve Morris!

It was somewhat funny, after it was all done with the warden banished me to D/W #2 SHU Lt. He said something like, " Don't let that crazy SOB work any other shift!

    But that's just me.
