We had the Kramer the speed boat racer and a helicopter attempted to get him out of the high security rec yard. He jumped in the chopper another inmate jumped and grabbed the skid causing the rear roter to hit the fence and crash. This broke both of Kramers legs and did minor injuies to the pilot and the other inmate. The other inmate stated that he was attempting to stop the escape.

That has to be the night of the hostage ordeal. 3 jamacan possie members took a GS11 Lt hostage at gun point by the rear gate on evening watch. After about 30 min. all ended up at the front entrance. One of the hostage takers yelled they wanted a chopper. At that time a news helicopter came over the front entrance building. I yelled I hear the blackhawk above I hear them hovering. The hostage taker gave up shortly after.

Something was always going on. That was the tightest staff I worked with. If we had a problem it went into the training center, then we went to a local Pub and drank a beer. Failure to have a beer after an altercation was one way to get pushed a side.

Hey topcat, thanks for talking to this rookie (only got 15 in). Practical jokes is a way to see if rookies have what it takes and the jokes also lighted it up for all that are on shift.
