Good to see you are doing good. We have been busy with the Paisas...they decided to burn one of our joints. We went in strong with shotguns(bean bags) and other less than lethal. But they have no heart, they do their **** and run back to their units. Did manage to hit one with a bean bag, hit his shoulder and ran up to his jaw, knocked him out bro and broke his jaw! We are being safe!

Thank you Crayers for el respeto! Like I said, I had the privilege of working with a few real hacks from the POC and man! They could talk sh&t to inmates, made then wet their shorts! They showed me a few things.

When I started at TI, we still had a few real seasoned 8's that had worked in Alcatraz, they broke this boy in good! We had a few real good LT's from the POC there too, I remember I was working seg officer and the LT and I were making rounds. One thug went off on the LT and told him if he had the huevos he would come in and kick his a#s. The LT turned to me and said, "Open the grill..." and he did just that, went in there and knocked him out ! Those were the good lo days, when an inmate knew he had an as$ kicking coming he'd take it like a thug.

Man I feel you, when you talk about your bro Scott, it is a hard thing to go through. I had just left MCC San Diego, when they killed my bro there. All of this needless and senseless and the BOP honchos just sweep it under the carpet.

My son-in-law opened ATW as an eight. He was taught old school ways, with their warden Obrien. He's an LT at Victorville USP now, still old school.

I will sell USP Lompoc until the day I die. I have only been in for 15-years, they will mandatary me in 10. I have only been to two joints both penitentiaries. In my mind the BOP can never put a group of people together again in the same joint like we had at Lompoc. I was very lucky to have been surrounded by a core group of custody minded leaders who walked the walk and talked the talk.

My hat is off to you LTABM and staff like you. You too had Lompoc like experiences. I apologize to you and others for posting Lompoc this and Lompoc that. We each have a story to tell. You old farts did some things in the BOP that had never been done before. In 1973 I was 13 years old living in navy base housing off of western ave. across the street from the cemetery in San Pedro. I can remember being driven over the Vincent Saint Thomas bridge and being told of some horror stories about TI. It is hard to explain to newer staff that the people who worked in old time joints are cut from a different type of cloth. I know I have seen a video or two from Bring Springs. What you guys went thru in the late 90's and the stories that trickled out of there where amazing, very big huevos. It is harder to get a FCI back, then to get it back on M/W with weapons, WOW! Those experiences are what needs to be taught to staff.

    Crayers,

I never worked Lompoc, but worked with a few that were there, probably before yer time. I started in TI back in '73. You think 'ol school", I like that!

I retired at FCI Big Spring in 2000. "99 bout wore my a$$ off we had three riots within 4 months, two of them I was in the middle of. The last one was on M/W, June 22nd. It kicked off at 1:30 AM. I was the ops, had 7 good hacks with me...we had to exit real quick from the rear gate, but came back strong on the secure side of the slow down fence. We expended about 25 rounds of #4 buck shot, wounding about 4 thugs. Oh the sweet sound of shotguns going off in the compound! It put there **** in the dirt real fast.

Luckily I had a good Corr Svc Administrator who backed me and my shift all the way, God bless him, Steve Morris!

It was somewhat funny, after it was all done with the warden banished me to D/W #2 SHU Lt. He said something like, " Don't let that crazy SOB work any other shift!

    But that's just me.
