Well I wish you luck!!! I was asking my temporary FTO the other day about the AK resident hire thing & he's not sure either... it makes sense to me to give residents a preference but leave it open to everyone.

Unfortunately, no. I was put on a list, so now I guess I just wait to see what happens. I applied with two other states in the past couple of days. I don't want to rely on just one. I applied to Washington ans Nevada. I'm going to be in AZ later this month, I'm gonna take the test while I'm there and see what happens. I wish AK hired non-residents!

How is everything with you? I see you're loving the job so far.

I got fitted for uniforms & filled out a bunch of paperwork-- I'm just waiting on my medical exam and oral psych on Thursday. I have a start date though, so I'm sure everything's fine... we'll see soon enough!

I saw a few of your posts and was wondering if you finally got hired in Alaska? I know you were concerned about the psych test...If you were hired, congratulations.
