What's happening Airborne, your military time will count toward your annual leave, and you can buy back your military time (a certain percentage of your base pay when you were active) and you'll get 1% per year added to your retirement.

As far as the leave, you get 4 hrs. of annual leave per pay period. After you have 6 years in (combined military time and BOP time) you will get 6 hrs, after you get 15 years combined you'll get 8 hrs.

The transfer from military to civilian life was not all that easy for me. I was used to a regimented way of life in the Army and it just seemed like everything was a cluster**** in civilian life, but it gets easier as the years go by.
