Checkin in also. I never posted anything on the Correctional Guild site although I think everyone in Maryland screwed up for not backing FOCO. They had a great team of Lawyers on board and those Lawyers were ready to fight hard for the Correctional Officer.

Hello Gladtobegone. I worked with you for a while at MCI-H. I'll be saying Glad to be gone also in about two years. I can go now but I thought I'd put another two in. With my military time that will give me 25 years. Won't get much on a Sergeants retirement but I'll be glad to get out.

Oh yeah, I forgot, No one gets much for retirement in the great state of Maryland DOC. You put up with all the bull****, risk your safety, your life and the safety and health of your family for a few pennies they want to give you when you leave.

Just like AFSME. They want everyone to pay union dues to them just because they are the bargaining agent for DOC employees but what are they doing for ALL DOC employees? They push for Food Service to get 20 year retirement but they DON'T push for equal pay for ALL DOC employees. Food Service now has 20 year retirement like Correctional Officers but Food Service gets paid more and doesn't do cell searches, strip searches, work tiers or anything else a Correctional Officer does.
