State Corrections hiring time frame

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if anyone going through the hiring process has heard anything back yet. I took the exam back on August 22nd and scored a "Best Qualified." I applied for the Baltimore area and the process seemed to move quickly in the beginning. I was called in for my interview in early September and my references were all contacted in mid October. My background investigator called me in late October to verify some information and that is the last that I have heard. I am getting a little concerned that I have not heard anything back in a little over 3 months. Does anyone know if they are slowing down the hiring process? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I took my exam in April, also "Best Qualified", just got the call today, I start on the 23 in Baltimore.

Thats awesome man, congrats. How far along in the process did you get the letter for the medical?

I'm too lazy to get the exact dates, but everything was in roughly 3 week intervals. I took the test, about 3 weeks later I received the letter to come for the background investigation interview, then 3 weeks later I received the next letter for the Psych/Medical.
