I did hear there were no staff injuries, the fights were in two different locations. A number of inmates had been stabbed. One is dead although his cause of death is in question. I was in the car at about Dallas when we heard about it, just got back to OKC so we are still trying to get some information on it.

I would just like to point out this is another case of an officer not doing his job, could not POSSIBLY be mismanagement of this region. I mean hell it has only happened at Beaumont, Pollack, Houston, and Three Rivers. Obviously it is a mass conspiracy by the lower staff to not do their job properly. Surely Management STILL Didnt have anything to do with this issue.

Add Lompoc to the list from 02/22/2008. Had a wee bit of a disturbance there.

I'm a state'r and sometime forget how different the world is in the BOP. 13 is everywhere now that MS has joined the club, but again I don't how much of that applies to you all.

Having worked for Mr Lappin when he was Warden at USP Terre Haute I can say it won't matter. You could hit him and all his exec staff he has surrounded himself with a cattle prod and he will not budge period. Unless congress really force feeds the agency I am not holding my breath!

Also I thought it was funny thet the public affairs people were quick to point out "they didn't believe excessive force was used by officers at any time"
just thought that was funny, again the BOP worried about public perception when 2/3rds of Normal working Americans can't even stand prison inmates.

I think that may be because I am starting to hear that the inmate that died. Died as a result of the use of force not stab wounds.

No serious staff injuries from what I hear. Two convicts dead, 6 more in ICU and the others were treated inside. Looks like Mexikanemi took off on the Paises with weapons.

In Edgefield, staff were not even notified. The inmates notified all the Officers.
