At El Reno, we have one in our chapel. We had an officer who was murdered there. I have been in there at night alone. It is a VERY errie feeling. Kind of funny to think the chapel is haunted but I am a believer.

Our new housing units were, and I'm not kidding at all, built on old Indian burial grounds. Also one of the new units is right next to what we call "9 Wing" which is the old Penitentiary grave yard.

I'm sure all kinds of creepy stories will filter out when we put dudes in there soon.

Re: Ghost Stories

I heard that when the Transfer city opened here in Oklahoma City in 95 that one inmate had hung himself up in SHU. His family tried to sue the BOP for supposively beating him to death. Anyway, that cell was seal off for a year and the officer's say that everynight around 3AM the cells duress alarm would go off, no one in the cell, with crime tape all over the door.

Well here up on 1-4. While sitting at the Officers desk. You can catch something out the corner of your eye running across the hall in Lock up. A few Officers have seen that, but of course when you go look. There's nothing. It's kinda of weird.

Also Same floor. Another officer told me this story. I never say it.

Midnight Shift on Old Surgical Floor 1-4

Him and a Nurse where talking in the officers station and both happen to look up and see an inmate picking a book out to read from the cart. Then returned back to his cell. The officer asked the Nurse did you see that. She said Yes, Thats inmate Johnson... His been dead for 3yrs.

This being one of the oldest BOP's and a Medical joint. We may have the most deaths then any one.

At the prison I used to work at, one of the towers was haunted. I actually worked the tower that was haunted. You could hear a man and a woman talking at the bottom of the tower
