You have all read my jacket by now but here's an offer for ya....

I have extensive knowledge of the MSPB, from all sides. I have defended CO's/Lieutenant's before the MSPB, I have acted for the agency against CO's/Lieutenants before the MSPB, and I beat the MSPB as a defendant.

I will assist anyone who needs help. However, understand this, if you were/are involved with a convict, brought something into the facility for an inmate or any other act which could have or did place a brother or sister CO in danger I will not help you.
I will not and do not charge for this help and the help may be nothing more than suggesting what or where you should go next or it may be as much as me writing your responses or acting as your representative before the MSPB........
It doesn't have to all be displayed on this site. You can PM me or e-mail..........

Let me say this also. If you get into the crap contact someone BEFORE it goes to MSPB, often times we can nip it in the bud at the institutional level.

That's by no means out of line. We all need a little help now and then and to come across someone who's intimately familiar with the system is a huge boon.

During the last South Central Regional Caucus I went to training on the MSPB. I have to admit I was very ignorant as to how benificial it could be to an employee. I hope I never have to use it to help someone, or even more so to myself. But it is great to know that if I need to use it I have someone here who is willing to toss some advice to me. I think it would be an excelent forum that is underused by most local unions.

I did the whole union thing as an officer, Chief Stewart, Vice President ect., Sat in on labor management meetings with the CPL in Washington a few times, have done contract neg from both sides of the table at the local level and at the national level but I gained much more insight on the disciplinary process as well as labor management from sitting on the Agency side of things.
