Couldn't Do Your Job
I stopped by because a thread on the board mentioned my web site. Handgunlaw.us Glad to see it has been of use to you gentlemen/ladies. Been shooting for years and supplying CCW Info on the web for over 12 years now. but couldn't do the job you guys do. Mechanic and Safety Facilitator for Bayer Corp (Chemical Plant not Aspirin Plant) for 35+ years. Just retired.
I was really happy to see HR218 become law. It should have been the law years ago. I know how hard it is to find info and that is why I decided to collect info on the different states LEOSA and what they are doing to make it happen for their Officers. If I can be of any assistance to any of you don't hesitate to contact me at Handgunlaw.us. Just click on Contact Us at the bottom of any page and I will get that email. Also if you know of more info that needs added to the LEOSA list on Handgunlaw.us please send it along to me and I will get it posted. Do take care Gentlemen/Ladies as you have a very dangerous profession and the main thing that has to happen every night not just for you but for everyone is to get home to the family safely. I can't think of anything more important we have to do today than that. |

Re: Couldn't Do Your Job
On where you can carry under LEOSA I have heard two different stories on that and still have not figured out which is correct. One is you have to go by the rules on carry as anyone not an LEO with a permit to carry in the state you are in must go by.
The second one I have heard is that you only have to abide by Federal Restrictions. That you can carry your firearm anywhere as long as you are not breaking a federal Law or regulations with it. Maybe someone on this site has the answer we are looking for. Something official would really be appreciated by Handgunlaw.us |

Then there are the states without CCW. There one must take the time and make the effort to know where firearms are prohibited. |
