The GFSZA is law, but it's really nothing to be worried about. It was never intended as anything more than a sentence enhancer; given the previous SCOTUS ruling, and how the Court has changed since then (more in favor of gun rights), prosecution is even less likely.

I've not heard of a single prosecution since Lopez. There may have been one, but prosecutors are afraid of this one; they're only going to invoke it if a drug dealer was raping a baby at gunpoint in the principal's office.

Ohio has pretty good laws when it comes to LEOSA. The Ohio AG opined that Law Enforcement Officers were exempt from laws regarding permit holders, as they are not required to have a permit.

Not legally. Per Ohio law, you should have an Ohio DL by now.

I agree. But, we are now operating under the second gun free school zones act which was re-written with the purpose of getting around Lopez.
