I have bought my own, because I feel that I do a job that I should have that symbol of my public trusting me to do a good job. I also spent the extra money to have a filled back a high quality finish, and Roman lettering! The badges that the DOC issues to supervisors are shell backed, cheap finishes, and block letters.

I deserve the best, especially if I have to buy it myself!
The first one who gets caught doing something like that in the BOP by the wrong person will be the first one brought up on administrative charges, eh?

I don't need a stinkin badge!

It is kind of funny, we are "LEO" and do not have Badges (really do not need one). But TSA bagage people have badges. What does that tell you about our agencie.

Its a sad state of affairs when people who have NO LEO POWERS have a badge and better looking uniform than the one of us that are LEO's.

The uniforms are ok. But who fought to get them badges in the 1st place?

I heard a lot of stories about the guys over here by JFK Airport. The cops don’t like them much because some of them pull out their shields and say they are Agents. When they get Pulled over for speeding or running red lights.

I'm not hating but, Guys. If you don’t want to get locked up, Don’t impersonate a LEO.

I have known a couple of people that have pulled the badge stuff and got in a lot of trouble to include impersonating an officer......doesn't look good.

If you absolutely NEED something just print this out on one side of a business card and put your contact info on the other side. Problem solved.

If you are a federal LEO, how can you be guilty of impersonating an LEO?
