At least it sounds like intelligent people with the power to do something are taking a look at the situation. I can't remember, did IL. elect a new Gov? Will the power at the top change soon?

It's true though we all have our "I would haves" somethings are understandable and some aren't like the guys with 20 years in not caring.

I heard that there is about 80+ spots open, and that there is about 15 confirmed transfers from pontiac. They should know by this upcoming tuesday how many co's we are getting from pontiac.

There are 10 - 15 openings for Lt.'s and 80 spots open for officers. Our jobs are safe, but OT is out of the window for at least a yr. or so, and parking will be pretty difficult. The vets say the same thing happened when they closed Joliet. People retire, get fired, or move on to another dept. Sucks for me, because I was looking forward to that money, but I wouldn't want anybody to lose their job completely. I'm not that selfish.

Uh yeah, and it was unsuccessful. Thanks to other politicians who put their makeup on like clowns and their overwhelming support for Bush, and non-qualified businessmen, we don't have much of a choice.

Where to the majority of the CO's at Pontiac plan to go. Stateville or Thompson.
600 ia a lot of CO's that need to relocate.

Remember this little one
Memo states PCC officers have dibs on positions - Pontiac, IL - Pontiac Daily Leader

Re: Pontiac Closure

grrr, hubby just told me that more transfers in where he is which means he goes lower on seniority....

doesn't IL ever hire any NEW officers? One of these days I would like to spend time with hubby.
