Pontiac Correctional Center Lawsuit

Has anyone heard anything about the status of this lawsuit? I know i'm ticked about this closure not only because of the money that was recently spent to help repair Pontiac but because we've become a level 1 and I hired on for a level 2. Alot of us can't even get level 1 pay because the union says you have to be employed for 7 years before you're eligible for level 1 pay.

Tthe union representing workers at the Pontiac Correctional Center is trying to stop the state from closing it down by filing a lawsuit.

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees says the state didn't meet a legal obligation to bargain with the union before going ahead with plans to close the facility.
The lawsuit filed Friday in Livingston County seeks an injunction regarding the Pontiac Correctional Center.
Governor Rod Blagojevich and the Department of Corrections plan to close the prison by the end of the year, saying the state will save 4–million dollars a year.
A Department of Corrections spokesperson was unable to comment on pending litigation.

It's still in the air but ods are it will be tossed out like the last lawsuit however AFSCME seems to be a little more optimistic about this one, maybe they learned something new since the last suit or found a loophole. I hope so!
